yeah, but they need a clickable table of contents. I'll be *damned* if I'll manually "page" (click-click-click-click) through all those pages to get to Cary's prose.
okay, I experimented and used my great logic and intelligence, and figured out that Cary's story was closer01.html. Thus, the direct link for those too lazy to click click click through all the rest is:
http://www.conteonline.net/issue0101/closer01.html
That is all.
Oh yeah, I meant to point out that it's not just Cary's story that I'm sharing, but in fact the entire site, or did you not bother seeing who the editor is? ;P
1. No, I didn't see who the editor was. That's another thing wrong with the setup... that info isn't readily available. But still, unless it's Jesus F. Christ himself, what do I care? I only know Cary. So there.
2. Either way, my point remains. Why should we have to click click click through tons of pages to read something near the end? Dumb. Even if it's to force one to read it all: Dumb. Because that's fine and dandy for the first time (no it's not; it's dumb. But I'm being generous to make a point); but after that, shouldn't one be able to jump right to a poem or story?
3. There is no 4.
BTW, lest anyone misconstue my thoughts on this issue[1]:
Lieb is close to being J Fucking C, but he's not quite there yet.
Just so we're clear.
[1] That's a pun
